Joy to the World Benefit Nativity Display in Kirkwood

The Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help invite you to experience the Incarnation of the Word made flesh through a Christmas tradition inspired centuries ago by St Francis of Assisi. Join us for our Joy to the World Benefit Nativity Display in Kirkwood, MO, the third weekend in December. Bring family and friends to share in viewing dozens of unique nativity sets from various cultures, artisans, and collectors on display at our Tau Center, and keep someone warm this winter while doing it! Instead of admission, this year we request that you donate either a new/gently used and clean blanket to keep someone in need warm this winter, or $5 per household. We will distribute the blankets through our St Louis-based outreach and/or food pantries in which our Sisters volunteer.

Be sure to stop by to experience this joy of the Christmas season on Saturday, Dec 17 or Sunday, Dec 18 – between Noon & 5pm at Tau Center. A variety of nativity sets including traditional styles, unique handcrafted creations, international varieties, and a large Fontanini village will be on display. Tau Center is located in Kirkwood, Missouri, at 335 S Kirkwood Rd (behind PNC Bank and Andy’s Frozen Custard on Kirkwood Rd, and between KinderCare and the American Legion Hall on South Clay). Free parking surrounds the building.

If you have a larger group or a group with special needs, please call ahead — we are happy to arrange a special viewing. Otherwise, there is no need to register unless you would like to receive a reminder. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Please enter through the main door under the covered porch (which does require stairs). We do welcome those with handicaps, and have a limited number of accessible parking spots and an accessible entrance on the Southwest corner of the building. That door does stay locked, so we ask that upon arrival, please call (314) 965-3700 from the parking lot, so we can unlock the door and welcome you inside!
