NOV FFE Eco-Film “Seeking Asylum” via Zoom

Register today to view & discuss the FFE Eco-Film of “Seeking Asylum” Tuesday, November 14 via Zoom

Join us on Tuesday, November 14 at 6:30 in the evening, as we view and discuss the new documentary “Seeking Asylum: A Mother’s Journey.” Register today for this free opportunity!

This film bears witness to the endless deterrents migrants face when petitioning for asylum in the United States. According to the website https://www.seekingasylumfilm.com, this film documents one woman’s journey as she searches for protection for her kids. Many people view getting to the United States as the final hurdle of the migration journey, but we quickly learn that once in the US, the fight has just begun. During one of the most uncertain times in our country’s history, Seeking Asylum documents the challenges asylum seekers face and shows why asylum is an integral part of the American Dream that we cannot afford to lose. This film is by Honeypot Productions, a female owned and operated production company founded in 2020 and specializing in nonfiction storytelling to foster conversations of understanding, compassion, and growth in our world through visually stunning and character driven narratives.

Scroll down to begin the Zoom registration process. Due to low registration numbers since Covid, there will be no in-person event at Tau Center in Kirkwood. Upon Zoom registration, you will receive an email response that contains a Zoom link. Please save and flag/star this email so you can find that link to log in on the evening of November 14 at 6:15 pm (the presentation begins at 6:30, but we ask everyone to log in at 6:15 in case there are difficulties). We will attempt to email reminders to Zoom registrants one day and one hour before the event that will also contain the link, but they seem to be inconsistent in delivery. When you log into Zoom, you may go into a “waiting room” — your patience is appreciated.
