Nov 11 FFE Eco-Film “The Scale of Hope” via Zoom

Join us online to view & discuss the Patagonia film “The Scale of Hope: Climate, Climbing & Systemic Change

Register here today to join the Sisters and other Franciscans For Earth on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 6:30 to 8 pm Central via Zoom, for a free screening and discussion of the film The Scale of Hope: Climate, Climbing & Systemic Change.

This 2022 documentary from Patagonia Films® follows former White House climate advisor Molly Kawahata as she prepares for an expedition in the Alaska Range, while working to create a new climate narrative that centers her favorite question—What can I do to help?—with a surprising answer. Reflecting on her time in the Obama Administration, her personal struggle with mental health, and her love of alpine climbing has allowed her to create a positive vision of how we can all respond to the climate crisis. Following this film directed by Josh “Bones” Murphy, we encourage open discussion.

Patagonia Films® describes itself as a collective of storytellers who make films on behalf of our home planet. Although many know Patagonia as an outdoor apparel company, the mission statement they aspire to shows many more facets. “We appreciate that all life on earth is under threat of extinction. We aim to use the resources we have—our business, our investments, our voice and our imaginations—to do something about it.” Visit their website at www.patagonia.com.

If you plan to join us, please register, so that we can email you the link to log in to the Zoom gathering.
