Celebrating the Life of Sister Maria Tessari

Our dear Sister Maria Tessari went home to the Lord on January 16. She was a truly humble, prayerful woman of faith and courage whose spirit always radiated joy and peace. She was an excellent teacher, a compassionate pastoral associate and an organized director of religious education who served in Missouri, Texas, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico and Wyoming. She loved the Lord and being a Franciscan Sister, and it showed.

Sister Maria’s funeral will be on Tuesday, January 23, in the Lally Room at Cardinal Ritter Senior Services Center on 7609 Watson Rd, St. Louis, MO. Wake 4pm to 5pm. Mass of Resurrection at 5pm.

Anyone wishing to honor this remarkable Franciscan woman can send a remembrance to the Franciscan Sisters at 335 South Kirkwood Rd, St. Louis, MO, 63122.
