ATTENTION IN THE EFFINGHAM AREA: Please join us at St Aloysius Hall-Bishop Creek!
The Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help invite you and your friends to share in the second event of our “Paving Paths for Peace & All Good” series showing how the life of St Francis of Assisi is surprisingly relevant for all of us today.
Our 2019 experience entitled Sharing a Picnic with St Francis and St Clare will teach us to:
• Celebrate special places
• Explore the importance of coming together for a meal
• Look to all of Creation for life’s lessons
St Francis and St Clare, who were both brought up in the Italian town of Assisi in the 13th-century, gathered one day for a picnic that turned in to so much more. Please join our Franciscan Sisters Renita Brummer, Connie Probst, and Ann Pierre Wilken as they share and examine different aspects of the story of this celebrated gathering and lead in activities to help us apply its lessons to our lives. Please invite your families, neighbors, coworkers and friends!
Both Sister Renita and Sister Connie grew up in St Aloysius Parish in Dieterich. Sister Renita currently serves in Kirkwood, MO, as Minister General of the Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Sister Connie is Director of St Anthony’s Food Pantry in South St Louis. Sister Ann Pierre formerly served as Pastoral Associate at Teutopolis and is currently with Il Ritiro Franciscan Retreat Center in Ditmer, MO.
All are welcome! Though NOT required, to help us prepare we would appreciate it if attendees preregistered. Thank you!
