Tired of tripping over ill-fitting footwear, out-of-style sneakers and BOGO boots? Declutter by donating your outgrown, off-trend and excess shoes to the Sisters! Support our Franciscans For Earth ministry by giving us your family’s gently worn, used, and unused shoes, and ask friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to do the same. Collected footwear will be kept out of landfills and repurposed to help others (see below).
All types and styles are accepted: from sandals to snowboots; cleats to chucks, house-slippers to heels; baby shoes to birkenstocks, toe shoes to cowboy boots; wingtips to water shoes and steel-toes to stilettos! Pristine is not necessary, but we ask for only dry footwear in pairs with life left and no holes.
Collected shoes are used to support micro-enterprise small businesses in developing nations. For more information on the program, go to https://funds2orgs.com/what-is-micro-enterprise/.
