FFE Lenten Discussion on “The Book of Hope” via Zoom (FILLED)

A 3-Part Discussion of “The Book of Hope” by Jane Goodall and Doug Abrams to be held 3/10, 3/24 & 4/7. REGISTRATION SLOTS HAVE FILLED.

Join us for a Lenten discussion of Dr. Jane Goodall’s long-awaited release “The Book of Hope.” This book is a tribute to what fuels her boundless mission to make the world a better place – her reasons for hope. She collaborated with Doug Abrams, author of the bestselling “The Book of Joy.” It comes 60 years after the celebrated scientist and activist began her ground-breaking research of chimpanzees in Gombe, Tanzania.

Join former Franciscans For Earth Director Maurice Lange and the Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help for a three-part book discussion via Zoom on March 10, March 24 and April 7, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. Registration is required no later than Feb. 17, 2022, to provide time for attendees to acquire and read the book. Discussion questions will be emailed to registrants on Feb. 18, 2022. The book may be purchased from Barnes and Noble, Amazon and other on-line book sellers.

“Maurice Lange did much of his growing up on ranches near San Antonio, Texas. These early experiences of nature inspired him to pursue degrees in Environmental Studies and Theology. Maurice greatly enjoyed serving as Director of Eco-Justice for the Franciscan Sisters from 2009 through 2017.”
