Celebrating The Life of Sr. Judith Tokarczyk OSF

Sister Judith, a sister for 69 years, died February 14, 2018 at Mary, Queen and Mother Center in St. Louis.
Born in Sioux City, Iowa in 1929, she entered the Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in 1945 and professed perpetual vows in 1951. She received her BA from Webster College and her MA from St. Louis University.
Sr. Judith taught in Gallup, New Mexico, Ruston, Louisiana, Salinas, California, Clyde, Ohio, Sioux City, Iowa, Fairborn, Ohio, Omaha, Nebraska, Olathe, Kansas, Fort Dodge, Iowa, West Monroe, Louisiana and Berkeley, Port Hudson and Augusta, Missouri. She ministered as principal in Omaha, Nebraska, Humboldt, Tennessee and Monroe, Louisiana. In her later years she ministered at Cardinal Ritter Institute and Regina Cleri Retirement Home, St. Louis, Missouri.
Sr. Judith is preceded in death by her parents Mary (Rutowicz) and John Tokarczyk and by her siblings: Agnes Christenson, Irene Wineman, Walter, John and Leo Tokarczyk.
A wake will be held at 4pm February 20, 2018 at the Lally Room on the Carberry Campus 7601 Watson Road, St. Louis, MO followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 5pm.
Burial at 9am, February 21st at the St. Louis Chapel in Resurrection Cemetery (2nd entrance).
In lieu of flowers memorials to the Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help are appreciated.
